
A project made for school as my master thesis, this project aimed to create a prototype of a boss fight for a FPS game in Unreal Engine with C++ and blueprints.
The idea for this project came from me wanting to learn C++ and loving the game Dark Souls. As I have no prior knowledge of either boss fights or C++ it seems like a good combination and valuable skills to have as a game programmer.
This project was created with Alexander Höglind who made the level design and art assets.
I created:
- One boss with three phases and custom attacks
- Two different minions, ranged and close combat
- First person controller
- Two different weapons, rifle and pistol
- Health system
- Cutscenes
- Animations
- Main menu with settings
